The Telephone-Initiated Entry (TEL) check entry provides businesses the opportunity to initiate a one-time ACH debit entry to a consumer’s account for the purchase of goods or services pursuant to an oral authorization obtained over the telephone. Since the Originator is required to either record the call or send a written notice of the authorization, Web to Cash offers a seamless method to send authorization notifications via email or postal mail for those companies who do not record the phone authorizations.
