On September 11, 2001 it became clear that America is at war with terrorist enemies who seek to destroy our way of life. These terrorist enemies and those who support them are living and working in America.  In October, 2001, Congress passed the USA PATRIOT Act, which, along with other laws enforced by the Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) seeks to identify and prohibit commercial transactions with these enemies.

Every company operating within the United States is subject to OFAC regulations.  Those companies that offer financial services have the additional challenge of USA PATRIOT Act compliance.

In compliance with the USA PATRIOT Act, Section 326, Ventanex has implemented a customer identification program within the ACH Anywhere™ engine to compare customer information to lists of known or suspected terrorist enemies.
